0n this small 7 mile long island, there is for the most part, one main road, which runs from end to end. We are not on this road and you can not even hear the traffic from it unless you try. What you do hear is the surf, as the waves roll in from the Gulf of Mexico. We are not located right on the beach but 100 steps down the shell road and you are there. 

The second reason we purchased this place is that the apartments, which are our rental units, are large. Compared to other accommodations available on this island the units are down right big. We are hopeful that the reasons we purchased this property are the same things that would attract you to our establishment. So much for why we bought the Summer House but why else should you come here to stay. 

 We are an active member of Superior Small Lodgings (SSL), which is an accomplishment not easy to obtain and maintain. The SSL group sends an inspector regularly to reconfirm that this establishment maintains the strict standards of safety and cleanliness expected of an SSL establishment.
